North Wales Regional Skills Partnership

The North Wales Regional Skills Partnership is a collaboration between employers, education providers and local authorities to ensure the region has the skills needed for current and future economic growth. It focuses on identifying priority sectors such as advanced manufacturing, digital, energy, tourism, and construction, and addressing skills gaps that could limit development.

The partnership informs investment in training and education, helping shape courses and programmes that better match employer demand. We provide dedicated advisors offering personalised support with employment, job searching and benefits guidance. Our dedicated Hub supports young people aged 16–24, alongside a specialist Homelessness Employment Mentor working with those at risk of, or experiencing, homelessness.

Our programme reduces social isolation while building confidence and practical employability skills. We offer free, professionally delivered training, CV and interview support, plus funding for barriers like travel and ID. We also help individuals access employment, work experience and volunteering opportunities.

The North Wales Skills Portal is a free, online platform designed to connect individuals, employers, and training and support providers with opportunities across the region. It brings together local courses, apprenticeships, job vacancies and support services into one easy-to-use hub, helping people of all ages explore their options and take the next step.

Whether a school leaver, graduate, job seeker or career changer, the portal provides access to up-to-date information and guidance. It also supports employers by promoting workforce development, skills training and recruitment opportunities, helping to strengthen the regional economy and future workforce.

Healthy Working Wales

Healthy Working Wales (HWW) is a free national programme that aims to improve health and prevent ill-health at work by supporting employers in Wales. HWW is funded by Welsh Government and delivered by Public Health Wales.

HWW supports employers to: Create healthy and safe working environments and practices, Take action to improve the health and wellbeing of their staff and promote healthy behaviours, Prevent and manage sickness absence and supportive return to work effectively to prevent people from falling out of work due to ill-health, Support those with chronic conditions to stay in work.

Free resources include an Employer Survey Tool, Workplace Adviser Support service and Peer Mentoring Programme.
